Trident Iceni - biodiesel concept car
Trident is another small manufacturer who wants to save the planet through reduced fuel consumption. The company announced that the British model Iceni is almost ready for production. The model sports two seats weights 1,480 kg and is propelled by a V8 turbodiesel engine of 6.6 litres which can operate with any biodiesel fuel. Bin-speed automatic is one with 8 steps.
V8 engine develops a maximum power of 550 horse power at 3,800 rpm and an impressive torque of 1286 Nm at just 1,800 rpm. The manufacturer announces that British Iceni accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in just 3.7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 321 km / h. And this is not all: in a run with a constant speed of 112 km / h, the consumption is only 4.1 litres per 100 km.
